Tenant turner and Showmojo now partner with Property Shield to provide automated fraud detection

Property Shield now integrates with ShowMojo and Tenant Turner, two of the leading leasing automation platforms in residential property management, to bring continuous fraud detection directly into the workflows where operators already manage their portfolios. Both integrations went live on April 28, 2026.

The partnership makes Property Shield's monitoring capabilities available to thousands of property managers without requiring separate tools, additional logins, or manual review. When a threat is detected — a fraudulent listing, brand impersonation, or unauthorized use of property data — an alert surfaces inside ShowMojo or Tenant Turner alongside existing leasing activity.

Integration that streamlines operations

Leasing platforms are where property managers spend most of their operational time. Scheduling, prospect screening, communications, and vacancy management all run through these tools. Fraud detection, until now, has sat outside that environment, requiring operators to monitor separately, act on findings in isolation, and absorb the response cost on top of their normal workload.

By embedding Property Shield's monitoring directly into ShowMojo and Tenant Turner, the integration removes that gap. Fraud intelligence reaches property managers where decisions are already being made.

Proactive Fraud Search and Threat Intelligence

Property Shield scans online listings, social platforms, and public marketplaces continuously, looking for fraudulent duplicates, fake ads, brand impersonation, and unauthorized use of property data and images. The system currently monitors around 400,000 properties across the United States and has identified and removed more than one million fraudulent listings over the past two years.

For operators using ShowMojo or Tenant Turner, that monitoring now runs in the background without any configuration required. Alerts arrive with context and recommended next steps, giving managers the information they need to act before a fraudulent listing leads to a physical incident.

According to FBI data, nearly $174 million in rental fraud losses were reported in 2024, and that figure reflects only complaints filed with the IC3, not the full scope of unreported incidents. Fraudulent listings can result in trespassing, unauthorized occupancy, and property damage, with incident costs that can reach approximately $10,000 per occurrence. Early detection is the factor that determines whether a property manager responds to an alert or responds to an incident.

As Vanessa Anderson, CEO of ShowMojo and Tenant Turner, explained: "Property Shield allows us to shift that to proactive protection. Threats are identified early, and property managers can act before an incident occurs."
